I feel the same way about people that treat their kids badly or don't want them...but if this is in regards to the last entry, what makes you think she treats her kid badly or doesn't want him? All she said was that she sometimes wonders if she did the right thing...nowhere in it did she say she didn't want him.

I would love to have a baby so bad, myself, but I think it's rude to judge someone (last entry) because of the way she feels.

On the other hand, if someone is mistreating and neglecting their kids, that's a totally different story. I would be so pissed off about that.

I don't think it's about the last entry. Entries here get posted in lots, so this person couldn't've read it, I don't think.

Not true. I post the entries about five/ten minutes apart (unless I'm pressed for time.)

I know people in my real life that are poor parents (moms) and I feel they deserve better. So I know exactly what you mean.

i agree with sugar and spice surveys up there. we DON'T know what that last entry was really about, and it really is vague. maybe she submitted that when she was feeling really crappy about her parenting at that particular moment?! who knows...only she does really.
i feel bad(and don't mean to offend) for so many people who want children and are unable to have them. it truly is a wonderful(albeit challenging! hehe) gift. i hope that whoever wrote this(or has similar problems!) is one day able to fulfill this dream!hugs

who cares about what the entry intended to mean...the fact is there are many women out there who treat their kids bad or dont' want them after they have them. And that makes people who feel that way or think that way stereotyped with the rest of them. Because there are so many people out there who want children and can't have them. There are many people out there who will love those children and treat those children much better than they are receiving.

If you don't want children, prevent it.

I agree. It makes no sense to me that these people who keep popping out kid after kid who they mistreat can continue having babies, while there are women out there that would KILL to have ONE baby and raise that baby as perfectly as possible.. and they can't. It's baffling.

I once heard on this podcast that the crime rate has actually gone down because abortions were legalized. I'm not saying that anyone should have an abortion. It just made me think about people who didn't want kids weren't having them and making the kids life absolute hell because they know they aren't wanted thus leading to a possible life of crime. Its kind of fucked up, but makes you think.

To the person that made the comment about abortion; do you know there's actually a SHORTAGE of babies in america to be adopted by people who aren't able to have kids?
When I worked at Walmart it used to piss me off so bad seeing mothers all but ABUSING their kids in the store because the kid was walking a little slower or playing in the racks or something, they're kids! Your job is to teach them, not beat them.

a shortage of babies? What about all of the CHILDREN waiting to be adopted? The ones that WERE pulled out of abusive homes and left to be run through the system until they are 18?

It just seems to me that there can't be a shortage if there's an overage. Adoption is about giving KIDS a good home, not just BABIES. =/

Man! I witness this everyday! My BF sister is this kind of person..shes doesnt do ANYTHING for her child..sleeps all day and then pushes him off to the grandparents! its so sad!

gonna have to agree with you... I've watched too many of my friends fall because of their parents not being there for them. One friend in particular, we always believed one of the many bfs her mom had molested or even raped her, because after a while, she just changed... She disappeared off the face of the earth a few years ago, and I heard a couple months ago she was spotted drugged up with two kids of her own.. It really is sad to see something like that
