strike Holy! Crap! I just slept for 12 hours! I've never slept that long in my life! The night before I went to bed around 11:30. But I usually read for about 15-20 minutes before I fall asleep. Reading first helps me fall asleep easier. So, I finally drift off to sleep and Jeff's phone rings. It was the poultry alarms. Ok, wtf? We don't usually handle the nightime alarms, Jess does. But in order for it to come to our phones it means she ignored it or has it bypassing her phones. Which for one thing was just rude being as we worked that day and she didn't show up at all. She had to go to a driving school for 8 hours. Granted we got off at like 9:30 but then we had to go back down and try to fix this busted feed line and of course Jeff does his regular evening check of the birds so you would think she would have at least took any calls that night. Jeff said she may have forgot to call the alarm company back and have her phone active again since she probably made it inactive due to school seeing as she couln't leave. Whatever. I woke Jeff and we went to check it out. It was a water alarm which sucks because it's like a false alarm usually. The pressure drops and usually just cause all the birds drink at the same time. But sometimes it means there's a flood. so we walked two houses just to make sure and found nothing. As we went home Jeff was complaining his arm was hurting. I thought maybe he slept on it wrong or when we fixed the auger to the feed line he pulled a muscle. He said no it had been hurting all day plus his arm would cramp up. Dunno. So we get back in bed and it's really bothering him and said it felt more like someone cut him under his arm with a razor blade or something. So I checked. He just lifted his arm and was like do you see any kind of cut or something? I had just turned my head around since I wasn't facing him and was like yep, there's a scab there so you must have done something. He's like where. So I reached over and touched it and realized it didn't feel right. Sure enough it was a freaking tick. Apparently it had climbed up his sleeve while hunting or lifting a deer. It was tiny as shit and took forever to get off. But there was this red ring around it and he started worrying about lyme disease. So I looked it up with some pics on the internet and it looked exactly like they said it would and to seek immediate attention. We all rushed to the hospital. lol. The doc said that it wouldn't manifest for at least two weeks and they treat it with antibiotics but since we were there he would go ahead and prescribe some to prevent it and infection. Whew! So by the time we get the meds and leave it's 2:40 am. As we're leaving the hospital we get a flat tire. We pull into a gas station and Jeff said he'd pump it up because it had a habit of just losing air slowly and we nay not of noticed. It'll probably pump up. Well, it would if it hadn't come off the rim! So we called his parent's. we had spare but not a good one but no jack. I asked the gas station attendant first but he said no and the one he had personally wouldn't work. I think it would but it's probably standard protocol not to leave the store for any excuse that time of morning. I understand. So we finally get home by 4 am. I went straight to bed and Jeff was eating a sammich then coming to bed. 10 minutes later we get another alarm. Temperature this time which is not a false alarm. So he went down there. I fell asleep and never heard him come in. we had to get up at 6:30 for work so I woke him up when the alarm went off. Apparently Jess had showed up for that alarm which makes no sense why it came to our phones then. testing us I bet. but they fixed the feed line while they were there as well. I was like wtf? Jeff had told her about our night and she insisted on keeping him up longer to fix that instead of letting him get some sleep and fixing it in the morning which was the original plan? ok. so after work i went back to bed for 3 hours. Jeff tried but had no luck. He just can't sleep during the day. I can but hate it. I feel incredibly lazy. He got Traveler's kennel ready, tried to go to his mom's but apparently run out of gas and I woke him up in time for his parent's to show up with gas and I didn't know any of this happened lol. We went to the store, came home, I washed dishes while he went to feed the dogs. When he got back we decided to eat early cause it was gonna be an early bedtime. Around 5:30 I was online and got bored. Jeff sat next to me and was like move. I laughed and said I didn't know where to move to. I went upstairs to use the bathroom but Mikey was in there so I laid on my bed for a bit waiting on him to get out. Next thing I know Jeff's waking me up at 9pm. Asked me about his meds and I went back to sleep till 5:30 this morning lol. wonderful! Now I have tons of energy and a full work day ahead. I would be happy if it wasn't for work. I could get tons of shit done around the house. But it's payday so I'm not gonna argue. Not a great payday either because I didn't get many hours but oh well. right off the rip I have to pay back a hundred bucks to Jeff's mom which kinda sucks. But she did let us borrow it when we needed it so yeah can't argue with that. Anyways, I've got to get the boys up and get ready for the day. Ciao! |
