post christmas blahs Well, Christmas turned out great. Even though it wasn't what I wanted it to be it was still really nice. We finally got the money for Christmas at the very last minute. I wished that it could have been more because I normally use the loan money along with our own money from working but it still worked out pretty good. Now I just got to worry about Mikey's birthday which is now less than a month away. I know that I need to get out and about and see what's going on in the world. I mean one of our reason's for quitting was the lack of a social life. Well...sort of lol. Not so much that we didn't get to go out and hang with friends and stuff but we didn't even get to see family or anything. You couldn't plan anything together because Jeff was always working no matter what. But also because it was so far away from friends and family you couldn't just go over and hang out for an hour when we could spare that much time. But we've been back in our old neighborhood for two months and I've only seen one friend and that's because he comes here. He came last night and I found that my "best" friend split up with her boyfriend about a month ago. I talked to her on the phone once when we first moved in. She had actually called trying to hunt me down but she hasn't called since so I don't know how to feel about it really. Of course I haven't called her either so yeah. We stopped by her apartment about 2 weeks ago. I saw her car so I went knocked but there was no answer. Her cousin lives right next to her and her front door was opened and when I turned to leave it was closed. I had wondered if she was in there and just wasn't in the mood for company. Believe me she can be like that. I watched her and helped her out for 3 years in situations like that. But at the same time I don't know her cousin well and she moved in after we had moved out. I have been around her on several occasions and she's kinda snobby so it may have just been the fact she didn't want someone looking in her apartment. My friends sister lives in the next apartment building (the one that we lived in) and she could have been there too. We all knew each other and everyone in the complex because it's only 10 apartments altogether so she could have been anywhere. But I feel that it's rude to go knocking on people's door looking for her if you really don't want to visit with those people as well. Anyways...I didn't see her. I thought it could also be that she was out with her boyfriend because she tends to go and stay with him every other weekend or so when she didn't have her kids and she could have been with him in his truck. But seeing as the timeline of her breaking up and the time I was there doesn't match she must have been around the apartments somewhere. Gordy told me last night that she was wanting to talk to me. I know that she went through alot trying to find my mom's home number to call me when we first moved in and now that Jeff doesn't even have the work phone she probably just can't contact me. I was looking for her the other day on facebook because they had gotten an account together after we moved out...which believe me was an issue with them. I looked thru my friends because they were on there but now they weren't. So I searched them and couldn't find them. I tried every combination because they used both their first names and last names. This morning I get on and she sent me a friend request...just her so I know that they must have really broke up. I find it astonishing and can't wait to talk to her to find out. They've been together for like 6-7 years. She wanted to marry....he didn't. They had issues and she was always talking about how she was gonna leave him for this or that reason but she just couldn't. So when you hear this talk for several years and then you find out it's finally happened it's like whoa...wth happened to actually make it happen? Who left who? lol...i'm a gossip fanatic though I claim not to be. Then I find out right before Christmas that Jeff's old friend whom we called Hippie got married to his snobby ass girlfriend that nobody really could stand. She was, for the most part, always polite but if you were trying to have a conversation and she found it non-interesting she made it known...subtley, but nevertheless. She didn't like hanging out with anyone. He would come over and she was constantly wanting him to come back in the apartment. They lived in the same complex for awhile. He complained cause she was like a hermit, she never cleaned (which we saw first hand), and just the way she was with their son. He was so....unhappy. He even hooked up with my sister for awhile. We would go camping and he'd come along...she wouldn't...no way in hell would she go out and get dirty or whatever. She found out and even confronted us about it but then things sort of smoothed over with them and she finally convinced him to by a house about 1 1/2 hours away. So they moved...came back and visited like 2 times and both times she stayed in the car. -eye roll- After that he called us once to tell us that she had the baby (she was pregnant again when they moved) and we went to see them at the hospital. He wasn't there when we went so out of politeness we visited for a bit...totally awkward because we knew she didn't like us. I mainly did it because I wanted to see hippie's new son and just to piss her off. We told her to have him call and he never did. no doubt that he never got the message. Several times we have called especially when we moved closer to them. on the farm we were only maybe 20 minutes from them. to no avail though. but we ran into his mother right bewfore christmas and i'm sure that she told him on christmas. she told us what street he lived on and where he worked and told us to go visit. His mom likes jeff alot so i figured she would say something. she called him a dumbass for getting married so yeah...we're on the same page with her at least lol. well....i had better go. i just had to get that all off my chest. i have alot more but i don't have all day to sit here and do this. anyways, ciao. |
