Silence screams so loud
Darkness is everywhere
In the distance I see the light
I can hear the laughter
I feel the happiness reaching out for me
I have many paths to walk along
I have many ways to go
The light is shining brighter now
Yet it is still so far away
I could go back
But I'm made it so far already
My only hope is to move forward
To choose one of the paths that lie in front of me
Only time will tell where I will end up
It has to be better than where I am at
So with that
I put on my walking shoes
And I take off on my own
