.x. Looking

01/12/2015

title here ! So we have been looking for a new place to live. Given, government housing has helped us tremendously and rent is super cheap. I just feel as though there are other people who need it more. The only thing is, I am looking for a 3 bedroom house that isn't more than $450 because of our budget with other bills. That is a task all on it's own. I do not mind a fixer-upper. In fact, I would enjoy something we could make ours. As long as I get it for the right price because I will not pay that much in rent plus work on a house. I just don't want a house that would be....condemnable. I mean, if it doesn't have heat or has holes in the floor and all that, of course I would not move my children into a house like that. If I just needs some TLC, I do not mind. I wouldn't mind to replace carpet/paint walls etc. It's just everywhere I look on line is so expensive...and I just can't do that. I do not want to set my family up to fail. Grrrrr I wish I could find a place for like 300, that's a 3 bedroom, but needs some TLC. That's what I want.

wow, good luck with that. is that actually a fewasible budget where you are? in this market you'd be lucky to rent a room, or mayyyybe split an apartment with someone for that kind of money.

It actually depends on the location. If you go to the hood...yeah I could probably get one cheaper. If you live in West Knoxville, no. You're looking at about $900 for a 2 BR apt. It just depends on the location. Like I said, I don't care to pay rent, but I would like to have something we could make ours, that we can fix ourselves. But I refused to pay 600+ for a place we have to fix up. And that's what me and David want. We want a place to fix up together you know?

Maybe look at repoed mobile homes. You can own for 300-350 a month plus lot fee can range from 100 to 300 depending. they r spacious & some are adorable. Jus an idea. Goodluck.

I was actually thinking about that! I grew up in a double wide trailor so I'd love to be able to get something like that. Minus the lot fee. I have land so I'd love to just move it you know?
