My little cousin (in age, definitely not height) is sweet on some girl he knows. I think that is just adorable. You'd have to know Goober to know why I say that. Goober is basically like a male me regarding his personality and such. He has never had a girlfriend. He is 23 years old. He has never outwardly shown much interest in girls before. I never gave him a hard time about it because I can guess at how his mind works. I'm a lot alike him in that aspect. Besides, I've been teased to death about not ever having a boyfriend by my family. I know how annoying and judgemental (in some people's cases) that can feel.
I use his nickname above, by the way. I wished him and that girl all the best...whatever that may entail. I guess she likes him back. That must be a nice feeling for him.
I cannot tell my family so I thought I'd tell all of you. I hope it brought a smile to your face as well.
This same cousin has to go the doctor regarding some issue (that I cannot and will not talk about). Please keep him in your prayers.
Regarding family and prayers, please keep my 10 year old nephew, Robert, in your prayers. He recently was diagosed with seizures. The doctors put him on the same dosage of medication for them that his mom takes (my sister). Well, he is having the seizures despite his dosage and they had to prescribe more for him. I worry about him. He's too young to have to deal with this.
I got woken up around midnight last night (aka: today) due to the police pounding down my neighbor's door. Every sound echoes in my hallway and I was half asleep so i thought someone was knocking on my door. It wasn't until I opened my door and got blinded by a flashlight (then spoken to by a disembodied voice), that I realized what was going on. I did sit in my livingroom and kind of eavesdrop on the situation though. My neighbor's guest got arrested. I don't know all the details but it involved someone else's debit card that she had (she knew the person).
THEN, I was sitting in my bed online when I saw more lights flashing past the courtyard my bedroom windows overlook. That was an ambulance however. I have no earthly idea what was going on in that situation, but please keep it in your prayers.
To end this entry on a humourous note, I'll share a quote I found the other day. It made me laugh and I hope it does the same for you.
"Forget Valentine's Day. I go the movies just to throw popcorn at all the couples." |
