I have a few minutes so I thought I would hop on here.
I went in wednesday morning (may 27) to be induced. We got there at 7:30 and got checked in. The doctor took forever to get there so We had to wait a few hours. Finally she gets there and checks me and I am still 1 cm, so she starts pitocin at 11 AM. Contractions started immediately. She checked me again at around 2:15 PM and I was 1.5 cm so she broke my water and I am thinking that we are going to be there forever! I asked for the epidural around 4 because the doctor said if I wanted it to not wait until the contractions were unbearable because the second time around usually goes faster. I got the epi and the nurse checked me at 4:30 PM and I was 5 CM. about an hour later she came in and I said I was feeling some pressure so she checked me and I was 9 CM! I am not sure of times after this point but she checked me again very shortly after and I was 10 CM and she said she wanted me to do a practice push to see when she should call the doctor. On the next contraction i pushed 3 times and she said "OK! I am calling the doctor! Breathe through the next contractions" So the doctor comes in and I am in some serious pain, I dont think the epi was working at this point. so the nurse tells me to push while the doc is getting dressed, she counts to 10 for one push, gets to 4 on the next push and says "STOP PUSHING!" he was right there! The doctor sat down and I pushed 2 times and Evan was out! He was born at 6:29 PM. It went so fast I was so shocked!! With Brady I was in labor for 18 hours with an hour and 20 minutes of pushing so this was a breeze!! He was 8 lbs 8 oz and 22 1/2 inches long! If I would have went a week overdue like I did with Brady he would have been the exact same size Brady was. He looks SO MUCH like Brady it is crazy. He has some light brown hair and is just adorable. So far he has been a really good baby just like his brother. is doing great at nursing. he sleeps ALOT but doesnt cry much at all. I feel so blessed to have two beautiful healthy boys. Brady looks HUGE compaired to him. Brady has been doing good with him. He like to give him his pacifier. He wont really touch him though. My recovery is going pretty good. I had a second degree tear and needed alot of stitches because he pretty much flew out lol but i feel better than I did with Brady since the labor and delivery was so much shorter. I have some pictures on my camera but I dont have time to upload them yet so they will be coming soon. I need to wake my little man up and feed him so thats all for now! |
