NEW AND NEEP HELP WITH PIC

02/05/2014

So, will someone please Inform me of how to make my picture go into the "no icon" space? I've uploaded the same picture three or four times. It claims to have worked but it never shows up. Im obviously doing something wrong. I'm sure there is a FAQ somewhere around here but I' haven't found it.

haha! it has certainly aided in humanity's downward spiral. and i do my best to limit the possibilities for encounters with weirdos

and seems as though you have a picture in the icon space now. tada! you fixed it all on your own

Comments and replys just seem to go all over the place. Lol

well the website and your phone are clearly plotting against you then, 'cause you totally have a picture up. one of you in a red hoodie making a hilarious and adorable face? if that's the one you intended, it's there.

there are bits of this place that are kind of hidden until you get used to how to navigate it. but feel free to ask away with any questions. everyone's generally friendly and helpful here

the comments and replies do get crazy! also, random helpful tip--the notification to let people know you have "replied" to their comment hasn't been working for some reason lately. so, if you use that option, most of the time it won't tell the other person you replied (so not helpful), making commenting back on their entry the easiest thing to do if you do want to talk to/comment that person.

ha, it's related. there are several ways you can respond to someone--another aspect of this place being confusing. you can click "converse" and it will show you all the comments between the two of you and will send any new comments to their newest entry while giving you a notification that you have a new comment. or you can go to your/their entry, find their comment, and you have the option to "reply" as well. if you click "reply" it will respond to that comment directly in the entry (as you did with one of your comments on your entry), but those are the ones that aren't really sending notifications right now. case in point- the only reason I know you replied to the one you did was because I happened to click back on your entry and saw it. They used to send you a message saying someone replied to your comment with a link that would take you to the entry and comment, but that hasn't seemed to be working in the past few months.

but i've been getting the comments you've been sending so far, so stick with what seems to be working!

ha, everyone following certainly helps. and you are correct- there is a messaging thing (my iPad totally tried to change that to "massaging"... if only this came with a massage! though, honestly, that seems creepy when given more thought...scratch that idea), which can be found at the top of the page on the right side. it's the IM button, which let's you see which of your "favorites" (the diaries you marked as a favorite) are online, along with staff members. you can use that to chat with them as well

That's what I was leaning toward, as well! That way, the boy can be involved until bedtime, and we won't have do deal with being out too much. Thanks for your input!!
