So, decided to deactivate my Facebook today and use this site. I decided I need a place a put things "out there" even if no one reads it. Somehow it does what I need it to do. Without all the drama of social media. Whoever reads this.. You probably have a Facebook and you probably know exactly what I mean.

social media is a drama magnet, that's for sure. my advisor freely admits to using it to stalk me, which cracks me up

ha, i suppose that word should come with a bit of context! but you have the gist of it. she's the faculty member who is my advisor for my PhD program, and she openly admits to using Facebook to keep up with what's going on in my life because she thinks i'm entertaining, thus stalking me. and it makes me laugh

I know exactly what you mean, which is why I don't put thoughts or daily entries on Facebook and refuse to be sucked into others dramas - guess I am a boring Facebook user, haha
