i had a wonderful weekend! it went pretty much "according to plan" [see last entry] and it was magnificent. we made great time getting to london on friday, and met up with jes, michelle, and leeann for dinner. so delicious! jes came back to the hotel with us to chill, and ended up halping with my makeup. we then captured the first photograph in 5 years of friendship in which we both looked good. we're the cutest, see?
and the fun doesn't stop there. picture #2:
jes and josh are pretty adorbs too:
josh and i went to molly bloom's, which is and always will be my favourite bar on the planet. it wasn't busy at all, and we had no problem getting a great table. i was dd, and let josh get a little rowdy. he's funny when he's drunk. some friends bailed on coming out, but those that came made the night fantastic. erin became the third blooper i've had a drink with at molly's. she's rad. check it:
we stayed till closing - something i have to admit i haven't done in a long long time - then headed across the street so the boys could get after-bar food. i hadn't gotten to say a proper goodbye to erin, and was happily startled by her yelling "ANGE! WANT SOME PRINGLES?!" from behind me on richmond street. why yes, yes i did want pringles.
i drove justin home [way the fuck out of my way, for the record] and got josh and i back to the hotel around 3 am. i was exhausted. he was drunk and exhausted. we passed out promptly.
saturday i was up and in the shower by 9:15. i wish i'd had more time to sleep, but we had more pressing things to do - namely meet my friend emilia and her boyfriend joel for sushi "brunch". we were the first people in wonder sushi when it opened. they're a wonderful couple. i really hope they make it forever, because i love him. i mean, i love her, obviously - we've been friends for a very long time. but i love him, and i love them together. josh didn't eat a lot, having been a little over-served the night before, but it was a nice lunch nonetheless.
after we ate we grabbed some things from the hotel, stopped at the supermarket for some snack supplies, and headed to jesse's where we spent the afternoon drinking (and snacking) poolside. i was in and out of the pool a few times, and it was glorious. i am such a water baby. her lovely parents grilled up a delicious dinner for us, we made our way thru a few bottles of wine, and we gossiped and sniped and swam the evening away.
we met ben for breakfast late this morning, then did a little shopping. we bought josh's shoes for the wedding, so that's another thing to cross off our list. we got home around 5 and have been chilling. i'm already not wanting to go to work tomorrow, but then i remember that i've only got a 4 day work-week this week, and kelly will be here thursday night for a few days. knowing that makes me really happy. |
