this weekend cannot come soon enough. we're going to london and i cannot wait! a weekend out of the city will do us both good.
josh is picking me up at work right at 4 o'clock friday afternoon so we can hit the road without wasting a minute. traffic considered, that should get us to our hotel in london around 6:30, 7ish at the latest. we're just staying at a hojo - nothing fancy - but it will be glorious to sink into a king size bed and have hotel sex with my hotness of a fiance. anyway, we'll likely check in, change, and head to my favourite thai restaurant for an order of 504 and 422A. mmm. it's unclear at the moment who will be joining us, tho in the greater scheme of things it doesn't matter. all of my london friends are awesome, and even if it's just me and josh the food will be fantastic.
after dinner we'll likely chill at the hotel for a little while, then head downtown to molly bloom's. i get to meet erin (- misseriin*)! i'm guessing/hoping the usual suspects will show up for a drink or two, tho i don't see the night getting too ridiculous. in fact, i'm planning to dd, so i won't be too rowdy.
i'm trying to get in touch with jes to see what's up for saturday, but the main objective is to spend as much time as possible in and around her pool. i'm guessing this will involve lunch and/or dinner with her. and wine. a lot of wine. we have to figure out some transportation arrangements, because i'm sure i'll be in no shape to drive by the end of the day.
sunday is the usual cora's brunch with (former) payless crew. the highlight of that will be that jp said he'd come, and i haven't seen him in a year and a half. homeboy is never around. i'm not sure if we'll see anyone else on sunday before we leave. i think i'd like to shop a little, and maybe get josh's sandals for the wedding. i live in canada's shopping capital, but for some reason always seem to find great stuff when i shop in london. i think i like shopping in london because it feels smaller, less intimidating? i don't know. the stores are all the same, but i just prefer it. maybe part of it is because i feel like i'm on vacation, and thus "allowed" to shop just for shits.
josh and i did all of the laundry tonight, so tomorrow is "pack and primp". imma go get my brows threaded after work, and then i'll come home to pack my stuff, and i'll have my pick of anything i own because it's all clean. hooray! i think i'll paint my nails tomorrow too. they're painted now, but i'm bored with the colour. suggestions? i'm thinking "ocean" on my toes, and either the same, or "peacock" on my fingers. |
