josh and i spent last night with another couple, katherine and travis. long story short, kat is andrew's ex, so i've been slightly apprehensive about hanging out with her, but at the same time she's been super sweet since i've move to toronto, and i need girl friends. we just hung out at their place, watching zombie movies and eating the delicious food that kat the exceptional hostess had made. i will definitely be hanging out with kat again, hopefully for girlie things. she's really sweet.
today i managed to drop nearly a grand on things for the apartment. first we went to leon's and i paid off the sofa/bed for the office. then we spent the majority of the afternoon at ikea, leaving with a dining table [finally!], 4 chairs, a coffee table, and various odds and ends [lights and kitchen stuff mostly]. i still have to make another trip this week for a shelf for our dvd's, then i think we're done for a while. mostly. i hope. now we just need to paint the bedroom, and put up curtains, and i'll be happy. |
