i just bought a new laptop. what up, impulse spending?
well, it's not exactly out of nowhere. my laptop has been doing stupid things for a while now, including but not limited to: being finnicky with its power cord/draining its battery exceptionally fast, not letting me download the new msn (tho i don't think i really mind), and having a giant crack (or 3) in its case. lamesauce.
so i went online today to have a look, do some comparisons, get some ideas. that quickly turned into buying this:

it's somewhat on the basic side, and i'm okay with that. essentially, all i need is something that will feed my internet addiction and let me use itunes, and preferably won't fall apart any time soon. it's got an integrated webcam (something i regret not having on this computer), an upgraded battery, and it's purple. i'm pretty stoked.
unfortunately, i now have to wait for it to arrive. online shopping certainly lacks in the instant gratification department, tho i likely won't be to winnipeg for a month anyway, so i'd get the new computer around the same time, regardless.
now, what to name her(/him?)...?

i just got a new laptop for my birthday and it was the same price but then i saw that dell came out with these and it came in different colors. i was so bummed out! i wanted a pink one .

Lol, yeah no kidding, its amazing how much they can jack up a price for a brand name. I bought mine from ebay for 10 dollars free shipping but i think i was too late for that cause it over heats still anyway... in fact it did as soon as i sent you that note. LOL. Irony.

My family has been through more than its fair share of computers, and our Dells have always lasted the longest with minimum problems.

good call on the upgraded battery. hopefully it won't take too long for it to ship to you.

last sunday night i went on a la senza splurge, the package came on tuesday, with just their standard shipping option. i was pleasantly surprised. the boy said that things are probably slow(er) for those companies due to the economy, etc. which really just works to our advantage. unless they still need to build your laptop, then it'd take longer. regardless, i hope it works well for you, and if something happens, it doesn't wait til after the warranty expires
