i saw lindsay last night!!! and i get to see her again in a few days! best!
lindsa and another former co-worker of mine are in toronto for a work-education seminar/course this weekend. i drove over to their hotel last night for a visit. it was wonderful! i took my wedding dress, and my dress that lindsay will be ordering as her maid of honour dress. we tried them on, took a few pictures, managed not to cry. she's so pretty. she'd better not outshine me at the wedding dammit.
the 3 of us went to milestones for dinner. i had a delicious pasta dish and a couple of drinks. my green apple martini was suuuuper good, and i'm going to try to recreate it at home. shouldn't be hard. yum yum yum. after dinner we cuddled up in bed and watched bridesmaids. it was soooo nice to just chill with my best girl like that. it's been way way too long.
the course was over today, then she's staying at her sister's till wednesday. that afternoon, josh and i will meet her at the airport, and the 3 of us will sit together on the flight up to winnipeg! then we'll all drive together back to kenora, where josh and i are staying with his family for 5 days. of course i'll be spending time with joshua's family, but i'm also going to try to cram as much lindsay time in as possible, and love on her boys as many minutes as i can. i miss those kiddos so much!
while i'm up there, i'm hoping we get the shower invitations done. i'm so excited for this shower cum bachelorette party! lindsay's fretting a bit about whether or not she'll be able to make it down, but i was serious when i told her last night that if she can get the time to come, we will get her here. she's got a $100 credit with the airline, and i'm certainly prepared to kick in some cash to get her here. she's putting in so much to be my maid of honour, i wouldn't think twice about helping her out. besides, i'm selfish, and want her there. ha.
