moving prep update: i called my insurance company today and put josh on my policies for oct 1. i also called rogers and set up our cable, internet, and home phone. it will be weird having a landline, after going without for 3+ years. andrew made fun of me for devolving in the world of technology, and asked if i'd be getting a car phone next, but i'm actually looking forward to having a landline. i want something that's *ours* when i move into the new apartment with josh. also, there are some people/places i'd rather not give my mobile number to. the rogers tech will be at our apartment the afternoon of october 5th, so we'll have cable and internet right away.
i'm taking lindsay out for dinner tomorrow. her birthday is saturday, so this will be our little celebration. the pretty earrings i bought her on etsy arrived today, and i love them. i've decided to make an effort to look hot, and will likely wear a cute new top and rock the [freshly cut and coloured] pixiehawk. we're going somewhere semi-fancy and [assuming it isn't raining] i'm hoping that we can get a table beside the huge, gorgeous outdoor fireplace.
i made french onion soup last night. it was delicious, and i'm thankful there are leftovers. i think i'll be even better after a couple of days in the fridge.
