first off, thank you to everyone for their concern about lindsay and her baby. people talk a lot of shit about bloop sometimes, but there are some really amazing and caring people on this site. to set everyone's minds at ease, lindsay is home, and is still pregnant. she went into early labour spontaneously, and it stopped on its own. they sent her to winnipeg as a precaution [she's 34 weeks, they won't deliver here till 36] and when things calmed down they discharged her and sent her home with instructions to take it easy for a few days. i'm glad my little homeboy decided to settle down in there, because as much as i want to meet him before i move, i want him to be born here, and give lindsay a little more time to get ready for his arrival.
tonight is my goodbye dinner with work people. i've still got 2 weeks/11 shifts till i'm done, but this was the most convenient day for people, so whatever. supposedly this was supposed to be a big surprise to me, but i knew more about it than most people. they called me on my day off yesterday to ask me what time the reservation was for. typical. i'm interested to see what my gift is tho. i know they're giving me something, but i'm completely in the dark as to what. all i know is that last week lindsay was taking pictures of everyone. other than that, i haven't a clue.
i need a new digital camera. mine fell and semi-broke several months ago. the krazyglue only held so long, and now i'm having severe battery issues. the camera being replaced is a canon powershot a560, and would like to stick with something similar. anyone have any pros/cons to offer in the arena of reasonably priced, point and shoot digital cameras? ideally i'd hit up bestbuy[/similar], but i'm not really in a position to go to winnipeg any time soon, nor do i want to spend 5 hours driving to buy a camera. i'd love to buy a new one before we move [obviously i'll want to photodoc everything!!] but we'll see how it works out. |
