thank you to everyone for the good luck and other sweet comments on my last entry.
my interview was this morning. a phone interview with etobicoke general. i think it went well. they seemed to like me, and i know that they were impressed with my cv/experience. i have to admit that working here has been a really great resume-booster. i do x-ray, fluoro, mammo, and ct's, which is way more than i'd be doing in etobicoke, at least for the time being, but it looks really good that i am trained in everything.
that all said, i don't think that this is the position for me. nothing is official by any means, but i have a feeling that if/when they offer me this position, i'll have to turn it down. it comes down to timing. i was under the impression that the "temporary" term was a year. the ladies interviewing me today, who admittedly didn't have all the details, said it was likely 4-6 months. it's not worth moving cross-country for 4 months.
as i've been saying all along, if it's meant to be, it'll happen. i emailed h.r. with my references, and the questions that my interviewers [who were in x-ray/ct, not human resources] couldn't answer for me [like starting wage and contract length]. we'll see where it goes. |
