i went on a girl-date tonight with a lady from tumblr. it was the first time in years that i'd met someone completely outside of my circle of friends. it actually felt like a date in that i was nervous beforehand, but it was really fun. the date-like feeling also gave me reason to get all tarted up; i felt great when i left the apartment. i did my makeup all pretty and wore a dark tank, leopard print cardi, red leather jacket, skinny jeans, and black round-toe pumps. faye actually used to live in my neighbourhood, so she chose the restaurant - an old fave of hers that was new to me. the food was tasty (i had a shrimp and lobster angelhair pasta) and the conversation was enjoyable. when she dropped me off we agreed that we'd both had a good time and that we'd like to do it again. she's into the pin-up/burlesque scene, so we might go to a burlesque show together in the not-too-distant future.
when i got home, josh and i had the best sex we'd had in a while. so, i managed to have a lady-date night that ended in man-sex, which was a pretty fantastic way to spend an evening, if you ask me.
