SO EXCITED! WE GOT THE APARTMENT!
i didn't really say anything before, because i didn't want to jinx it, but my mom toured some apartments for us last week, and officially approved the one that my gut had told me was "the one" all along. i ran my ass off the next two days, filling out the stack of application paperwork she faxed me, getting a certified cheque for the deposit, couriering it to toronto.
then came the waiting.
then, today, came the acceptance phone call!
this of course led to more boring and annoying "adult" stuff, like spending half an hour on the phone with my insurance company, updating and confirming my policies. tomorrow i'll have to duck out of work to get another certified cheque, and post it off with proof of my tenant's insurance.
oh gosh, i'm so so excited! this is a huge weight off my mind, not to mention a huge motivator to keep up my packing and purging. it makes it all seem more real and is something to focus on. i'm sooooo happy right now! |
