i joined lindsay for her routine [18-20 week] obs ultrasound today. baby s is already so adorable! he seemed pretty content in there, sucking his thumb and waving at us. he was also gracious enough to prove to me that yes, he is indeed a boy. the advancements in ultrasound since i was a fetus blow my mind. my mom's ultrasound pictures of me show more or less a blob with appendages. as i'm sure the billion or so moms on bloop can attest, this is no longer the case. we could see all of baby s's bits so clearly. shit, i could see the lens of his eye. we watched him yawn. it was astounding.
