LUSH foot products

08/29/2010

Back in July I ordered the Foot Renewal kit from LUSH (I think that was the name of the kit lol) for $20. It came with 6 products to try out. While you can no longer purchase the gift set you can still buy all of the individual products except one. I thought it would be fitting review them all and let you know if they're worth purchasing on their own.

Unless noted otherwise all products smell minty.

The first product was a bath bomb in the shape of a foot. If you aren't taking a shower or a bath before pampering your feet I can understand why this would be essential. However, I did shower prior to using these products so it was kind of a waste. This is the product that can't be purchased any longer.

The next product is the Volcano Foot Mask.

I've never used a foot mask before, so this was kind of fun. What you do is cover your feet in the mask and let it sit for 10 minutes. For the first few minutes I really enjoyed the mask. It felt really cool. Then it literally felt cool. My feet started getting that cold, tingly feeling that happens when you use some face masks (think Queen Helene's Mint Julep Mask). The only downside was that after a while it just felt like my feet were asleep. Overall I did enjoy it, but at $20.95 it's a little too overpriced and I won't repurchase it (although it does last FOREVER lol).

Next was Running to the Embassy foot scrub.

This product will exfoliate your feet and take away the roughness in your feet. It really is a miracle worker. After one use my feet feel unbelievably soft. Out of all of the products in this kit Running to the Embassy was by far my favorite. I love it so much that I ordered another one. If you want to get one thing to help your feet I definitely reccomend this one! It costs $12.95 and will last you quite a while.

The kit came with two foot lotions as well. The first one is Pied de Pepper.

It smells like clove, cinnamon and ginger. It's supposed to warm up your feet too. Unfortunately I haven't actually tried this one yet, because I'm not crazy about the scent. Once the other runs out, though I'll try this one.

The other lotion is Fair Trade.

This, to me, smells minty, but also sweet. It's great for feet (I totally did not mean for that to rhyme). I love that it's pink, too. The consistency is ok. It's a little bit runny and a lot goes a long way. If you apply too much your feet will feel greasy. This is supposed to cool your feet down, but it makes mine feel warm.
Pied de Pepper is $15.95 (3.5 oz) while Fair Trade is $21.95 (7.9 oz). I definitely wouldn't repurchase them although I do like them.

Finally the kit came with Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter.

Honestly, I can't stand the scent of this! It's lemony, but also medicinal in that it smells like something from a First Aid Kit. The product itself is awesome, though. It softens your cuticles and skin just as it promises. It is extremely think (hence the word butter in the name) which makes it last an extremely long time. Overall I really like this product and I would repurchase it. This one costs $12.95 for 1.5 oz.

Overall I think the products are all decent (with the exception of Running to the Embassy which is fantastic). I'm really pleased that LUSH made this gift set, because I got to try some products I normally wouldn't have. Like I said before, I won't repurchase all of them, because I feel like you can find cheaper alternatives that are just as good. However, Running to the Embassy is amazing and I will continue to repurchase it. If LUSH ever makes this gift set again I highly reccomend you try it out.
