Hey everyone! How have you all been? I'm sorry I was absent for the month of October. I had a lot going on with school, work, volunteering, etc. I hope this makes up for it!
Morning
1. Up & Up (Target brand) Apricot Scrub
$2.99 - Target
(The image is of the Blackhead scrub, the apricot scrub's packaging is orange)
Last month I finally started exfoliating. I never really saw the point before. Now that I've started to, though I absolutely adore it! This exfoliater in particular is gentle, yet still gets the job done. It's comparable to the St. Ives Apricot Scrub. Basically, the gentle beads rub away your dead skin cells. It helps to brighten up and smooth out your skin.
I use this every other morning.
2. Clinique Acne Solutions Steps 1 & 2
Cleanser - $18.00
Toner - $13.50
-Clinique.com
I adore Acne Solutions. I have an entire entry devoted to it here, so I won't go into too much detail. The first two steps are cleanser and toner. This combination has gotten rid of and kept away the acne that used to be a constant resident of my face. lol
I use this every single morning.
3. Clinique Acne Solutions Emergency Gel-Lotion
$13.50 - Clinique.com
Excellent spot treatment! If you apply it when you feel a pimple coming on you can avoid the zit altogether. If you apply it after a pimple has already popped up, it will get rid of the pimple within a day or two.
I use this every morning.
4. Clinique Clinical Strength Dark Spot Corrector
$49.50 - Clinique.com
Again, I have an entry devoted to this produce (here). I used an entire bottle once and saw a slight, yet definitely visible improvement. I decided getting rid of my dark spots from acne was more important than the $50 price tag, so I got another bottle. After about a month of use I am definitely seeing improvements. I will probably need a third bottle to really get rid of my dark spots, but it will be worth it.
I use this every morning.
5. Aveeno Positively Radiant Moisturizer
This was a new addition to my skin care routine last month. I had been using the DDF Mattifying moisturizer, but it was far too expensive for my liking. When using the Clinique Dark Spot Corrector it is stressed that you need to use a moisturizer with SPF (something you should be doing anyway, though I hadn't been prior to last spring). I picked this up at Wal Mart and have been pleasantly surprised with the results. My skin does appear brighter when I use this.
I use this every morning.
Night
My nightly routine is exactly the same as my morning routine with the exception of the exfoliater. On days when I don't use the exfoliater I will use my Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask (review: here) at night. Also, I switch my moisturizer to the Acne Solutions moisturizer from Clinique at night. |
