So, only four days back in my new job and I've already gotten my snide comment from one of the J's. Wouldn't be too bad, as it wasn't as though I was being rude on purpose.
The simple fact that maybe because I was working on the far side of the shop, alone, with everyone else near the front and therefore not within talking distance, and it's not as if any of them would come over to my side anyway to talk to me (three of them are very close and the other guy is happy being by himself) I put in my ipod in my ears and listened to a book on tape that I've been meaning to listen to for weeks now. And I got on with my work, did everything I was supposed to, and then at the end of the day, one of the J's makes a snide comment, in front of the assistant manager, that I was very anti-social for doing so. I just shrugged and said that I was all by myself and I couldn't really talk to anyone from where I was, so I listened to one of my books on my ipod to keep myself entertained.
But what really burns me up is that she did that in front of the assistant manager in order to get me in trouble. She knew what she was doing, and now that G is gone, I'm the next target.
But I'm not letting myself get into too much of a tiff about it. It happened. It's over. And I'm just going to ignore it and keep out of their way. Because then it is them going after me, and I can say that I didn't start anything.
This is more to keep a diary of exactly when one of them start up trouble so that this time I have actual dates of when it happens. Maybe then there can be a proper case made against them.
