What I don't understand is that they have yet to incorporate Sherlock's ridiculous obsession with bees in BBC Sherlock. It's like a comedy gold mine. The world's coolest, don't-take-shit detective, and he retires to beekeeping. Not only that, but he writes a BOOK about beekeeping.
And he's PROUD of it.
Need proof that Sherlock Holmes is a bee fanatic?
"Here is the fruit of my leisured ease, the magnum opus of my latter years.” He picked up the volume from the table and read out the whole title, “‘Practical Handbook of Bee Culture, with some Observations upon the Segregation of the Queen.’ Alone I did it. Behold the fruit of pensive nights and laborious days, when I watched the little working gangs as once I watched the criminal world of London.”
-His Last Bow, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle
HE. LOVES. BEES.
Sherlock needs to own a little glass case with a bunch of bees in it like what they have on display at bee farms. He needs to be constantly cooing over it and have names for every bee, and call the queen bee "Victoria".
This needs to happen, people.
Rant over. Cheers.
