Not too long ago my mother was going through some trappings of my younger days and came across a journal I had started in 4th grade. The journal covers from 1992 to 1993. We found some of the entries rather interesting and I decided I should share a peek into the prepubescent mind of he who would be Odd. Thanks to liz for combing through it and finding the choice cuts as well as transcribing them with spelling errors. What follows are those cuts in chronological order along with my own modern day commentary in italics.
October 4, 1992: Today I am going to ask Keri to be my girlfriend. I hope she says yes. (I wonder what she'll say, will it be yes? Will it be fuck off and die? I believe we get our answer in the next entry.)
October 5, 1992: Last time I entered I said I would ask Keri to be my girlfriend and heres what she said Noooooo Not on your life. So I guess that is that. (I love how matter-of-factly is was even then, you can tell that this kid is gonna be...interesting when he grows up.)
October 28, 1992: Tonight my dad is putting a computer in my room and last night my mom and dad bought me a movie Beauty and the Beast. (Wow, lame-o! Who gets excited about Beauty and the Beast? Note the date, 10 years old and I was given free reign of my own PC....look out porn, here I come.)
