What an interesting day. I spent the day with friends. A friend of mine is having a really tough time so my other friend and I were trying to make her feel better. We went to the park and then to my favorite pizza place here in town.
Im super excited, another friend of mine who moved away during the summer is coming to visit tomorrow. I probably wont see her until Friday because she has other people to go see but im excited for any time I do get to spend visiting with a good friend She just had a baby in October and I cant wait to meet the little guy
My 2nd Hcg test was good. On Monday it was 184 and today it was 401. So it more than doubled in 48 hours. The dr is happy. So on Monday I have an ultra sound. We are also planning to go to our perinatologist, high risk ob and genetic dr when im around 17 weeks. My perinatologist is the one who monitored Evies progress in utero once we knew we was sick. Im glad he will be the one doing the anatomy scan. We will probably get an amnio (eeek!) but that depends on what the results of the u/s are. Since I have a genetic condition, its a 50/50 chance that the next baby could inherit the defect----whatever that may entail.
If you are the praying type, pray for us. We are hoping for a healthy baby. I know that whatever God gives us is for a reason but it just breaks my heart to see a sick little baby, especially when its mine. Although, I know Ellec and I are strong enough to face the NICU again, it would break my heart, especially if the outcome isnt as good
So ill leave you with a picture of my precious Evelynn. She has come so far since her first day in this world, 17 months ago. For a less morbid picture, see the entry before this. Its a happy one
