Learning to Budget

11/09/2009

I found this hard to get the grasp of. It took my a while to learn because I always just bought everything and had no concerns of where the money was coming from.

I look back at this now and cant believe I could live day to day and pay cheque to cheque just like that. It scares me crapless thinking about it.

My dad played a huge roll in helping me out with this. He has always been good with money. He lent me some to get a bit a head but with that I had to pay him back full with in 6 months.

I had no life for the first 3 months back home until I got everything squared up.

A couple online communities really helped me out:

Budgeting group: http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-mljournal
Debt Support: http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-mlsupport
Debt Q&As: http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-mldebtqa
Saving & Investing: http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-mlnewinvest

Everybody was so helpful and i followed one budget someone put together for me and it turned out amazing.
