I agree! But I saw Red Fraggle comment on someone's diary and say 'What are atheists doing even celebrating Christmas?' I was like err wtf yo!
My neighbours invited me and my mom to mass on the 24th (we went last year for a nose, and they just like the singing) but we went to the pub instead. Being an atheist rocks! Anyhoo, Merry Boxing Day!

I actually don't personally have a problem with athiests celebrating the non-religious part of Christmas.

My point was just that if you're going to get TECHNICAL about it (as Anonymous Source was doing ) and make a fuss about Christians celebrating christmas on a day which isn't technically the day that Jesus was born, then technically it also makes no sense for athiests to celebrate a Christmas festival. Really you should all be celebrating winter solstice instead (as one of my athiest friends does in fact do!).

Personally i don't care what others do, but since Anonymous Source seemed to think there was some issue with a small detail like the exact date, I think it's entirely reasonably to point out that it could be argued that it's just as silly for athiests to celebrate a Christian festival.

No, baby is still in the belly. Though I get more and more nervous with each passing hour that he's going to try to make an early appearance. haha
