3rd November 2012

11/03/2012

Hello again - and a huge welcome to everyone who has joined the challenge of NoJoMo! You can see in our faves list to the right that we now have a long list of people joining in. And just a quick glance at the Recent Entries column on the main page of Bloop shows lots of NoJoMo entries are being written. Bloop has some real community spirit when it comes to projects like this!

As always, there are three prompts here. You can write about one or more of these if you like - or you can adapt one to something you'd prefer to write about, or you can ignore the prompts completely and write about your own thing. Anything goes - so long as you're writing at least one entry a day for the whole of November! And even if you miss a day, you can play catch-up and do two entries the following day, and then carry on as normal. The point is to keep going throughout the month of November.

Here are today's prompts...

3rd November - NoJoMo Prompts

1. You have been taken hostage, confined to a tower all by yourself for an indefinite period of time. To prevent you losing your sanity, you are allowed to choose your entertainment from two limited choices - you can either have 10 books of your own choosing, or 10 DVDs of your own choosing. No more than 10, but you are allowed to watch/read them as often as you like. Which do you choose - DVDs or books - and why? And which ten books/DVDs do you choose?

2. Those of us who keep online diaries often do so because we love writing. Do you love writing - and if so, why? What writing do you do outside of Bloop? For instance, other blogging sites, or fanfic or any other creative writing? Private journals? Or maybe writing for a living? Do you have any plans for writing in the future? What is the best thing and the worst thing about writing? And if you don't like writing, why do you keep an online diary? What do you get out of it?

3. You have the opportunity to write to a celebrity of your choosing (maybe an actor, a musician, an author, a sportsperson) with the knowledge that they will read your letter and write back. Choose which celebrity you will write to and write the letter. You can choose a dead celebrity if you like - nothing to stop you writing to Mozart or Shakespeare, if you're happy to imagine them writing back from the afterlife!

RYN: You are right, it seems like a lot of people pick their groups when they start and just stick with those few people.
