I have to say Easter was a lot of fun. We all flew out to Colorado, me, the girls and Austin's parents. It was a very nice flight and it was great having his parents help with the girls. Made flying so much easier. We got in on Thursday night, it was pretty late, got there at 10:20, he was there to pick us up. Got to his house and the girls were pretty much spent for the night so to bed they went. We all stayed up visiting with each other. Friday was a nice day, we went off sight seeing, it is so pretty around Denver. Friday night, I made it an early night I was exhausted. So just relaxed most the night, Austin and his parents went out to dinner, and they took Journey. Taty was being really onry so I kept her with me.
Saturday, his girlfriend came over, she's a very nice person. They took the girls to the zoo with his parents. I stayed home and watched TV, it was nice a relaxing, just a me day. Haven't had one of those in along time. It was so nice and quiet at the house. They were gone for hours, then they got home and we all went out to dinner. I get along very well with Sarah his girlfriend, and she seems really good with the girls and I like that.
Sunday, we hid eggs in his yard and had an Easter Egg hunt, the girls loved it. They got up and went looking for their baskets and had fun, then we did the egg hunt. Then I got the girls in their new Easter dresses, they looked so cute. Journey was in a bright yellow dress, and Taty was in a bright Pink dress. I asked Austin where Sarah was, he said, I told her not to come over till tomorrow for this could be our day for the holiday. I told him she can come over for Easter, he said, she was having Easter dinner with her family. So we went out for Easter dinner that night, very enjoyable.
Monday, his parents and I went site seeing through the town while Austin and Sarah had the girls on Monday. We didn't get home till late, to give time to Austin and his girlfriend and the girls to be together.
Tuesday, Austin had to go back to work. So we spent the days just enjoying Denver. We would just have dinner together at night and he would spend time with the girls at night. It was a great week. We flew back Friday, we all agreed we needed the weekend to rest up before going back to work on Monday. Austin thought we were staying till Sunday, but I thought for the girls it would be best to have some down time before they had to go to pre-school on Monday. He was good with it, just said, he didn't know we were leaving on Friday. His girlfriend came with us to see us off at the airport. I'm glad I got to meet her, I really like her.
So that is our Easter week and it was so good. |
