The girls and I are flying out to Colorado for Easter. Austin wanted to see the girls for Easter, but they are to young to fly by themselves. His parents are flying there, too. But, I don't want my girls flying without me till they are older. Austin was really good about it, I told him I would get a room while I was down there and his parents could take the girls to him at the house.
He said, Amber you can stay at the house with us. It would cost you so much to stay in a hotel and rent a car for week, and you really don't know your way around here and you would be doing things by yourself. I asked him if he was sure, he said, yes he was.
His Mom asked me if I was going to be OK with it. I said, yes. She said, you know he is seeing someone, I said, yes I do. He said, he already talked to her about it, and everything is good. I would like to meet her anyway, if she's going to be around my girls. I think the parents need to know the spouses other mates, since they are going to be in their kids lives.
I told Austin that if and when I get a steady boyfriend I would like them to meet for he knew what kind of man is around his girls. But, I'm not seeing anyone steady. I've seen Doug a few times more, but I'm seeing another guy Dave, too. But, nothing steady with either of them. Just friends to hang out with and do things with. I don't want anything serious at this point in my life. But, I am enjoying having friends to take me out and have a fun time.
I haven't asked Austin how serious he is with this girl. I don't think it's any of my business, but I know he seeing just her, so in case if it goes further I would like to know what kind of person is around my girls. I'm very overprotective of my girls. Since one day she could be in their lives and they would be spending time with her. Need to see how she is around my girls. I'm sure she is a very nice person. I'm going to be very open-minded about her and not make any judgement calls. I want things to start out on the right foot. I know it will be so much better for the girls if we all got along.
The girls are doing really good. Just getting tired of all the rain we are getting. I sure wish Spring would get here with the good weather for the girls can play outside. And for I can get their swingset put up. It's in the garage in pieces till I have good enough weather to put it up.
Austin is paying for the girls airfare and I'm paying for mine. I told him he isn't trying to see me, so no reason for him to pay for my ticket. He said, well if you can't afford it I will help, I told him I'm good and got it all taken care of. So we have our tickets purchased. His parents and us are flying out at the same time. Which is really good, the girls will have fun flying with Grandma and Grandpa. And it will be nice to have a week off of work just to sit back and relax.
