We had such a blast, we went to a party with some friends of ours. We started out going to a club and dancing, but it was so crowded that it wasn't much fun. So we went back to Brett and Amy's place, ordered a lot of pizza, and garlic bread, and of course got a lot of chips, dips, and candy to munch on.
We played a lot of games, we played Scene It, Pictionary, Outburst, Mad Gab, and then we got into a game of Twister, Oh my heck, I haven't laughed this hard in years. We were falling all over each other. Of course for those that had been drinking, it was so much fun to watch them.....haha.
I left the girls with my Mom and told her I had no idea when I would be back to get them. We stayed at our friends house till 5:30 in the morning, I felt like teenager again, it was so much fun. I called my Mom's cell phone and left a message saying, we won't be going to bed till around 6:00, can she keep the girls for the day for I can get some sleep. She never called us, and we got home and went to bed. I'm not use to being up the late at all, unless it's taking care of a sick or crying kid. But, just to have fun, it's been years. And boy, did I have fun.
But, I got up at 11:00, I was having a hard time sleeping. I got up and just layed around on the couch and watched some TV. I called my Mom and asked if we could pick the girls up at 6:00, she said, that would be fine. I just let Austin sleep, he was tired and he had to work today, so I wanted him to get enough sleep. And I had today off, so it would be ok, if I didn't get as much sleep, because I could lay back down today if I needed more.
Playing Twister took me back to my teenage years, never realized how much fun I had at that time. I guess at times, I miss those days.
My New Years resolution is to lose 15 lbs. Get out more to the gym. And hope that Austin can find a job. In Business Management, that is what he went to school for. And he will be done this May.
