We weren't planning on going to Bemidji this weekend but Josh couldn't help himself. His cousin Donnie and his wife Calee were up and they throw an all day mudding trip type thing and then have a big party later on that night. Josh didn't want to deal with the dog and bringing him , plus Dee Dee was going to be there so we decided to stay home. I was upset. Not because we weren't going in general, but the fact that we have to make plans based on her because of her stupidity and the shit she has pulled. But that is okay because in the end the party won Josh over and we left at 4 on Saturday to get there. We missed the mudding but he really wanted to go because there were people going to be there he hadn't seen in a long time. No big deal I suppose. Just freaking Dee Dee.
I knew he wouldn't be able to stick to our guns either though. Saturday night was not going to be a problem. Claire would get dropped off at his moms and then we would be going to the party without her. We could have taken her since it was at his aunt's house and just set her up inside when it was bed time or something but to have to worry about her and all the traffic in and out of the house we decided against it anyways. The party went okay, I didn't get to drink so it wasn't so much fun for me but it got better when everyone started karaoke and then even that got kinda old.
Anyways. So yesterday morning we got up and the original intention was to leave first thing in the morning. When his Dad and Dee Dee had left the party the night before she didn't say a word to me. She talked at the party but even then acted stuck up just a bit for most the night which is the usual now I suppose. His Dad told me they would look us up before we left the next day and I just nodded of course but I was avoiding that one. But then his Aunt Tracy called us at his mom's house and it was Dallas' 6th birthday party and they wanted us to come. So we had to stick around til then. Well, that wouldn't be hard either.
The party was at 2, but we had to go back out to see Donnie and Callee before we left. Calee has been dying since we got here to see Claire and if there was a way I wasn't leaving without letting her. We didn't get there til after 11. Larry called Pat while we were there to tell her they were playing poker up there and Pat of course told him she would be up later because we were there. So then of course Larry told his dad we were up there and Dave called Josh and told him. I was like o0o0o go freaking figure but we really didn't have time so I had no worries. Boy was I wrong. We left Pat's at just a bit after 12 and then he turns down the road to his dad's house. I was like what the hell are you doing? he looked at me like I was stupid and told me going to Dave's. Excuse the F outta me? I thought you said we weren't going there. We don't have time. We have to go get lunch and stop to get a gift before getting to the birthday party at 2 and I would like to be there at least 5 minutes early rather then showing up 5 minutes late. So now he is mad because I called him on it. I told him I knew he could never stick to his guns whether we already had plans and couldn't do it or not. So he gets all mad and huffy and is like " what did you want me to do! He called me and said they were playing poker."
REALLY? BE A FREAKING MAN AND TELL HIM YOU HAVE PLANS. I don't have a problem with his dad, I would love for him to see Claire but I don't like Dee Dee and the shit she has been pulling. She doesn't want to be with his dad but is playing house and she tells me all the time. So I know what is going on in her mind. She will never stick around if she gets money, a job, or finds another man. Plus the whole ignoring every word I say when it comes to my child, doesn't fly. So I was pissed! Really. You don't want to be there either. It isn't like we are just roaming around town with nothing to do we have plans and now we are going to be late as well. He said five minutes. Ok Fine. 5 turned into 30. Thankfully though she was too busy playing cards. We spent most our time with her son ( Josh considers him his brother ) Brody, drawing airplanes and tanks and stuff. He is infatuated with Josh's job. And then she got up at one point after Claire fell asleep and Josh went over there with her and when she asked if she could wake her up and take her out Josh at least stuck to his balls there and told her no. She has been fighting sleep, we had to wake her up twice to get her ready to leave etc, probably not a good idea. She wasn't happy. Then we left less then five minutes later and she was again not happy. Not that I give a damn. Then his dad asked if they could ride out here next weekend on Saturday. Dee Dee says they have a wedding to attend but he don't want to go apparently, so we will see how that one turns out. Hopefully we avoid that.
Anyways, I had to vent a bit. I hate that he does not stick to his guns about this crap. He sits there and agrees with me and blah blah blah and then won't do what he says he is going to. It isn't like his dad never see's her. We go out there at least once a month and are going back next weekend too. But she will be there then as well so I dunno how we are going to work that one yet. We have the Ride for the Troops on Sunday which is an all day thing so if we avoid the catastrophe on Saturday then we may just come out Saturday night already with plans and then Sunday we leave after the ride because Josh has ALS homework so ... who knows. Am I a bitch for all this?
