punk pollution

well here it goes. if you don't know i'm a hardcore punk and it hurts me to see all of these posers there are today. punk has been polluted to the core now people are about the music and fashion but aren't into the values and beliefs of the true punk type. here is what i say if you cant handle pure punk punk than fuck off. don't go and impose on someone else's life style if you cant even take it seriously. that's PUNK POLLUTION to me and that's as bad as THIEVERY.punk isn't just about spiky hair or plaid , its about rebellion and saying fuck you to corporate lords, and being different.its about doing things and not having to worry what people think about you in the process. its not about third rate poser bands like green day or blink 182.ITS AN ATTITUDE, A LIFE STYLE,NOT JUST MUSIC.punk has gone unoticed long enough its time to revolt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love this entry.

Holy crap, a young person who actually understands what punk really is.
When I was in high school, people thought it was cool to wear a bunch of safety pins everywhere, and call it punk.
What they don't know is, people back in the 70's and 80's would wear safety pins, but they were used to actually hold together their clothes.

You should have your dad take you to California and Portland sometime so you can meet and hang out with the gutter punks.
Those are basically the closest to "real punk" as I think there are nowdays.

Also, don't you hate people who think 'emo' is punk?
I work with a lot of high schoolers who think that emo is punk, and when I try to explain to them about what punk really is, they don't get it.

Oh man, this was me 9 years ago! I've mellowed in my old age () but I mainly left the music scene (running gigs) because I was so pissed off with all the little IDIOTS ruining it. Who goes to a show and just STANDS AND NODS in a line at the front? God it used to piss me off.
