"real" entry, and rant | 10/25/2010 |
I have to work on Saturday, and i"m pretty upset. Not really that I have to work, it's just I have not been scheduled for a Saturday shift in almost a YEAR, and now all of a sudden I am, without any warning, no asking if I had plans or anything (I don't, but that's besides the point). I'm planning to give my 4 week notice this week though, so that makes me feel a little better. PSHH.. speaking of which, I actually DID have plans, I was going to try to organize a small garage sale for Saturday morning, but I guess that's out of the question now. Damn. Grrr, now I"m even more pissed off. Maybe I'll give a two weeks notice (= Hahah. I mean, the only reason I haven't quit yet is because I've been working there for 3 1/2 years, and I just haven't been able to give it up yet. I usually only work about 2 days a week, and only in the mornings for a few hours. Saturday will be a long shift just because of college games. Anyway, they just hired and are training three people, so now would actually be a better time for me to put in a notice, since the schedule is full, and it's a little more before holidays when everyone is likely to ask off.. so I won't feel like I'm leaving them in the lurch for any reason. And that would put the weekend of my shower being my last week. Interesting, I may talk with hubby about it tonight and consider it.
Speaking of shower, my mom got the invites and they're in the mail!! Everyone in town already got them yesterday, all the out of towners probably will by Monday or Tuesday! I'm so excited!
AAndd, I'm super excited because we went to a craft show thing yesterday, and I got a premium account at this really cool scrapbooking website, called heritagemakers.com. I'm super stoked... I have Christmas all figured out for everyone. The lady at the craft show had some samples of stuff you could make, which is where I got my idea. She had made some 12 x 12 scrapbook pages with her last name and a family quote, and spray glued it to a tile.. then sprayed it with something called Triple Thick to make it all glossy. She had it displayed in just some stand she bought at hobby lobby, and it looked AWESOME. I also found an easier website to make my wedding album, so I'll get it done a lot faster, than my professional complicated one, lol.
But, gotta feed the hubby before things get bad. (=
