I got to school at 9, and my one-on-one English student was absent today. I got an e-mail from his mom before I left telling me he's going to be late. Then when I got to school, she said he probably won't be in until 10. (after our class). I usually assist the elementary class from 10 to 11:30, but they are on a field trip today. I brought my laptop to school knowing that I would have this break from 10 to 11:30. I have no planning to do. It's the last day before Spring Break! woo-hoo! AND it's St. Patrick's Day! My favorite holiday ever. I've just been working on my novel. lol.
School is still awesome. I'm really loving it here. I can't remember the last time I updated. (sorry) but now my schedule goes like this:
9-10 = one-on-one English- 11th grade, 10-11:30 = assist elementary, 11:30-12:30 = US History- High School, 12:30-1:30 = one-one-one World History-11th grade, 1:30-2:30 MW-MythBusters, elementary.. TTh-Visual Arts, High School.. F- PE, elementary.
I still love this school so much.
There's really not too much else to update on. I've mostly just been doing the school thing.
Haha. the lights in the room just turned off, because they thought no one was in here. I had to stand up to trigger the motion sensor.
Because it's the last week before Spring Break, and my World History girl is caught up on everything, and we just covered Ancient Egypt, I decided to put on The Mummy for us to watch.
Being a teacher rocks!
Her "assignment" was to point out every time she heard one of the vocab words.
Today though, we're all going to have a snowball fight at the park. Yup. A snowball fight. In south florida. I have NO idea what it entails, but the school is all going to the park the last hour of the day to throw snowballs at each other to celebrate the end of Quarter 3.
Oh! I also have a goal to finish my novel by the end of Spring Break. I'm SO close to finishing it. I see the light at the end of the tunnel. It's going to happen!
peace!
