A Book Crossing

12/22/2012

SATURDAY
22nd December 2012, 1.47 PM.

What's up, everyone?
Answer: The sky!

Hey, hey, hey! OK, if you've read the comments at "The Library Outing", you will know that frog said something about a website called www.bookcrossing.com. Well, I checked it out. It's an online library! I haven't actually checked it out yet 'cause I wanted to write this entry.

Well, the only other thing I have to say is that, as soon as my mother left the house for the class, we all rushed to turn on our computers. Hee! You know, like, "When the cat is away, the mice will play!" Is it an actual quote? I don't know, I read it in a book somewhere. Or maybe from a movie called "Flushed Away". Yeah, probably from the movie.

Also, what's the meaning of "latter"? I've read that word so many times in books and I think I could guess the meaning but I can't quite put my finger on it. I know I should search the dictionary but...never mind, forget I asked. I was going to say that I was too lazy to search the dictionary. So I don't really deserve an explanation for that. :3

OK, I just made an account at www.bookcrossing.com. They didn't ask for my birthdate so I guess all ages are allowed there...? Maybe... Anyways, my username is TheDreamReader. I used to make all my accounts name HoneyCity01 or a different number maybe, but I think I'll start using TheDream______ for usernames now. Much more me!

Okay, here's how 'latter' (often used with 'former') works: As I was walking to work, I saw a vampire and a werewolf. The latter was called Jacob; the former was called Edward.

Make sense? The latter is the last one in a list; the former is the first (normally a list of two).

BookCrossing isn't really a library as such. It's a community of people who like reading and who 'register' their books with the site, so their books each have ID numbers, and then they 'release' their books.
