Book Catalogues, Modern Songs, And Little Old Outdated Me

Hey people!

"You are so outdated!" she said. Who said it? Honeybee. And no, she did not mean it in a mean way. Well, it was just after our morning assembly and we were on our way to class. Honeybee and M&M (the tallest girl in our class; let's call her that :3 ) started singing a new Taylor Swift song or something like that. I was like, Huh? What are you singing? Haha - that's how outdated I am. The thing is, I just am not interested in this modern songs. Haha, I don't know why but I prefer the old songs. Like Whistle by Flo Rida, I'm Blue by Eiffel 65, Whatcha Say by Jason Derülo and such. I really don't know any modern day songs and I'm not about to start finding stuff out about them. OK, so I know one, "We Are Family", the credits song for Ice Age 4 and I'm pretty sure the main singer is Jennifer Lopez. Or better known as J. Lo. :3 Actually, I don't know anything about her at all and I still wouldn't have known now if Mr. James Lee hadn't decided that Azizul should mention her in one of his Mr Mystery books (one of my favourite book series!!).

One more thing is that the Scholastic book catalog has come!!!

What am I talking about? I'm talking about the book catalogue the Scholastic company sends twice every year! It used to be every term but now our school decided to have a Scholastic book fair for Terms 2 and 4 every year now. Anyway! If you've read one of DreamOreoCookies' entries, the one that she mentions how I'd buy books from a catalog up to $75, this is what she's talking about! Also, I've already decided what books I'm gonna buy. 12 books costing up to...it's close to what DreamOreoCookies said except slightly higher. Take a guess.

Now all I have to do is see what my parents say about it.

lol well actually We Are Family is from the 1970s, by Sister Sledge. =P Old song, not new! hahaha. It's a good one though, hence all the covers over the years.

Oooh I always loved Scholastic books, they have some fabulous stuff. I wish you could get them without a school! lol

Wait, you mean you can't get Scholastic books in bookstores???? Oh gosh, that means if I don't buy them now...I'll never see them again!!! Wait, what about the website? Can't you order them from there or something?

No, you can only get them from the site if you're affiliated with a school. =( Trust me, I've tried to figure out a way around it!! lol. Not all the books they sell are only published by them, but a bunch of them are and can't be found elsewhere. It sucks.

Oh noooo! D: Oh man, and here I was thinking, "OK, never mind, I don't need to buy this and that or the other. I can buy them when I grow up." Oh wait, I can just have kids and buy books through their school catalogues. But I don't wanna get married. *Takes deep breath*
