Hey Everyone, It's That Pesky DreamSignature.

Yup, it's me again. So, I guess this is my 7th entry. I'm not at home at the moment, I'm at Causeway Point, a nearby neighbourhood shopping center. I'm using my mom's phone to type this entry. Don't worry, I didn't steal it, I asked for her permission. :3

Well, I've made progress on KidzWorld and they've approved my username last night. I've only made one entry on my blog, though. Apparently, my brain decided that it liked BloopDiary better. I think I'm in a mega-huge shop called Metro...I don't even think it's a shop...what do you call it? A department store? Probably. Wow, what're my parents browsing for? Bedsheets???! I don't remember when we've shopped for bedsheets...oh yeah, when we went to that wet market, I think we bought bedsheets. I'm going off topic here... -.-"

So far, not a lot of people have commented on my entries. Only frog and I think 4 people. But I think it's 'cause, just like kids don't read stuff about adultery, I don't really think adults read stuff about children. Well, that's what I think. But hey, just because people didn't comment, I'm sure they read my entries at least.

I don't really have much to say. It's like what I said in my previous entry, this website is just so...addictive! Well, guess I'll stop typing now. Have a nice day, everyone! :3
This is my Journal, where I will pour out my views, opinions, and thoughts. If you don't agree with any of those, well, I cannot tell you what to do but I ask you to please be polite when commenting. Thank you and have a nice day. :3

lol it's also because there's not a huge amount of people active on here, don't take it too personally. Also, people tend to read & comment on what they can relate to. Most of us old foggies don't really have much to respond to about kid sites or waiting around while shopping with parents, as they're not really things we experience at this point in life. So we just don't really have much to say about it.

Plus, lots of adults won't interact with people below the age of 18 on the internet due to concerns about legal issues. You have to be very careful about what you say to a child, and how you say it, etc, because it is very easy to cross lines accidentally or expose children to things they shouldn't be exposed to (language, sexual/mature content, and so forth). So, it's a bit difficult of a situation.

I think I've been exposed to lost of stuff that I shouldn't be exposed to 'cause I read adult books (please don't think I'm boasting!) or books about adults and stuff like smoking and drinking and gambling are what I'm against. Take smoking for example. I canNOT believe that people would waste their money on a roll of paper that you burn in your mouth and it simply results in sickness and a waste of money. That's my opinion for smoking and drinking. Gambling...I haven't found a reason to actually hate it but I've read stories of people losing money 'cause they're so addicted to it and I definitely don't want to take that path.

But, in your case, what did you mean by the things that I shouldn't be exposed to? Like what? I mean, I've heard of smoking, drinking, gambling, err, suicide and stuff. Shouldn't that be enough already? Oh, yeah, plus abusive behaviour. I have no idea what the heck is going on in the minds of those who abuse animals just for fun. >: (

I was reading Stephen King by the time I was around your age, lol, I think it's good when kids are readers and challenging themselves by reading things above their "age level." But it does have the consequence of exposure to themes better left until later.

I certainly agree about smoking, but the thing is people didn't realize tobacco was so bad for them, back in the day. And it's addictive, and people are curious, and once upon a time it was a "cool" thing to do (at least that part of it is fading now). So people get hooked. Alcohol is far less damaging, as long as people are smart about it, don't overdo it, and don't become alcoholics. A bit here and there isn't hurtful to anyone. Though personally I find nearly all of it tastes disgusting, so I rarely touch it. Gambling is far more dangerous, because people get addicted to the rush of it, and wanting to win, and they can wind up in serious debt. Not good. I don't go for that.

Well like I said, people - adults, talk about their lives. That can include plenty of cursing, talk about their sex lives & intimate relationships, possibly domestic abuse situations, and just, general chat about things that adults do, that while not necessarily explicit, isn't exactly meant for "younger ears" to hear. Talking about clubbing, drinking, partying, etc.

Ah, clubbing and partying. If you mean the kind of clubbing and partying they do in bars, eurgh, no way. I see in all those movies, like some ladies expose so much flesh!

Also, (I'm just being curious here) why ain't it for "younger ears" to here? Are you worried that kids might also start doing it?

Ehhh it's just not proper. It can possibly be encouraging, but it also just provides details about things younger people don't need to be hearing about yet. People grow up too fast as it is, no need to encourage it by filling their heads with drunken disorderly behaviors of deviant adults. heh.
