Lunch, Comics, And Insurance
Hello people!

So I am at the Land Transport Authority centre right now. I don't know why I feel like it's pretty cool here, LOL! Think it's probably 'cause I've read about it in books. We're here 'cause my father needs to pay his motorcycle bills. For insurance! Just now I said to my mother, "My father has to pay a small amount of money to the insurance each year, and if anything happens to the motorcycle, the insurance will give him the full amount, right?" My mom said, "I don't know. Is it?" Hehehe. Score one for me (by the way, I found out about the insurance thing in an Enid Blyton book)! So I've finished reading Matilda and am now reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. ^u^ Love that story!

Earlier, we had our lunch at Mee Kia again. By the way, I've probably mentioned this before but anyway, Mee Kia is not the place's name. My family calls it "Mee Kia" 'cause there's a type of mee-oops, I mean noodles ( ), that goes by the name of "Mee Kia" (I think). So I had my usual course of Mee Hong Kong and Qoo. After that, I had a cheese pancake from Uncle Pancake. It's not like those usual pancakes you have for breakfast. Well, maybe it is, but it's folded. >(^.^)< Afterwards, we bought a couple of pairs of school shoes for my brother and I.

I was just thinkin' just now, about comics. See, remember the comic I mentioned in "The Awesome Dream"? Remember Liam? OK, so the maker of the comic made another comic on how Liam and his (gay) monster-hunting partner met. OK, they were both gay. Anyway! I always wondered why she (the comic-maker) took like a week to make one page (but sometimes more than one for the other comic). OK, OK, so she updates the comic every Friday. The one that I mentioned in "The Awesome Dream" is updated daily. But now I sort of understand why it takes her quite a bit of time to make one page. I mean, seriously, it took me over an hour just to draw a picture!! But then Kytri (the comic-maker) is a much pro-er drawer than me so I suppose she takes much lesser time. :3

Anyways, I'll upload a picture for this entry later on, when I come back home. Hehe, maybe I should draw one everyday to keep up. ^u^

Have an awesome, dreamy day, everybody. ^u^

simple layouts.
This is my Journal, where I will pour out my views, opinions, and thoughts. If you don't agree with any of those, well, I cannot tell you what to do but I ask you to please be polite when commenting. Thank you and have a nice day. :3

I know a professional comic book artist & it takes a long long time when you're really skilled. Firstly he draws the art on large sheets of paper, which is then shrunk down when printed in the comic books. He has to plan exactly what he wants to do, down to the smallest details, & if he makes even a tiny mistake he has to restart the drawing again. It's a really long process.
She may also have a full time job, a social life, & a family so may only be able to draw in her spare time. She could also be much more ahead but sticking to her schedule of posting every Friday so that if something happens & she doesn't have a chance to draw anything for a few weeks she's got things ready to post.

Well, Kytri did say that she was having some health problems and a small problem with her job.

"She could also be much more ahead but sticking to her schedule of posting every Friday so that if something happens & she doesn't have a chance to draw anything for a few weeks she's got things ready to post." What does that mean?

I just meant that she might have a stack of comics drawn up ready for posting but is saving them to only post one a week. It gives her a bit of a bumper should there be times she doesn't get any drawing done.

^Yeah, what Amy said. When you're just drawing for fun, you don't necessarily have to take a long time and make everything perfect, you can accept any flaws and such as not a big deal. But someone making something for other peoples' consumption, they need it to be as perfect as possible and it takes a long time to get the layout and drawings all figured exactly and completed to their standards.

You can say that again. People keep commenting on how perfect her drawings are and how she always sticks to the little details.

Also, when you're creating a comic, you have to make up a story or a joke or some kind of plot to the comic. It's not simply a case of drawing a picture. It's a whole creative process.

Yeah, I know that. :3 The problem with me is that plots are really hard to come by. I rarely have ideas. Actually, I'm bursting with ideas but I don't feel the urge to write them, use them...the inspiration.
