I have no idea what is with this 'Squishy' craze my friends have been having it lately. I'm not entirely sure if it's the actual term, but they call it a 'squishy'.
They have all kinds of shapes and sizes. Take a burger, for example. They're made with a kind of styrofoam that has a spongy texture. Most of them smell like pandan. Some are tough, some are moderately squishy, while others are super soft and squishy. I guess that's why they call it a 'squishy'. And some cost up to $30. It started with Shorty buying some. And all of a sudden, the rest of my classmates are buying 'squishies' and trading each other 'squishies' too!
It's like trading cards except that it's not cards this time.
They basically collect them. Y'know, like a hobby? To be honest, I think it's kind of a waste of money to spend on such useless stuff. But who am I to say? People like collecting stuff. So do I (I used to collect bottle caps until my mom found them and told me to throw them away...). It's just that I find it kind of weird how everyone's still been going on about it even though the craze started like a few months ago. Ms Sahara calls it "peer pressure", when one person does something and the rest wants to do the same.
Oh well.
And now my friends have been starting to wear One Direction wristbands. Cue the epic facepalm.
