John Mayer paid his respects to Conan O'Brien on the final night of his Late Night show Friday.
The taped tribute showcased Mayer performing a song called, "L.A.'s Gonna Eat You Alive."
O'Brien, who has hosted the show for the 16 seasons and will take over The Tonight Show on June 1 -- said he received the video greeting 15 minutes before the show began.
The most touching lyric?
"Look at me, I used to live in NYC. Now I'm as douchey as a man can be."
At the end of the 30-second song, Mayer said: "Good luck, loser."
