4 years today

09/04/2009

It was exactly 4 years today that I moved into my old residence...straight from my hometown and the last constraint that my grandparents had on me. I was fully free. I have not looked back either. Haha. (By the way, my grandparents weren't mean/strict with me when I did live at home. There were limits however...just as it should be.)

And NOW........
Da, da, daaaahhhh...you are looking at someone with her own place to live again! You don't know how good of a feeling it is to me. I go in today at 1pm to put down part of the deposit for the apartment. It isn't too far away from Kassey's house actually. I do appreciate you letting me crash at your house while I looked for another place to live. I had to swallow my pride to say yes to your offer, but I'm glad I did it. Despite what others say, you are not too difficult to live with. Haha, just kidding.

On my day off yesterday, Heather attempted to call me into work again. That wasn't a big shocker actually. She does it every time. This time, I told her no. Haha, let her deal with that answer! I wanted to actually follow through with the plans I had made for the day. I get paid today. That is a good thing since I have to pay part of that deposit. It isn't much but it is more than I have right now. I'm going to have to ask them to hold the check until Saturday (or later...depending on when their bank is open). I won't be able to put my check into the bank until tonight after work. I'm thankful for a bank that allows you to deposit funds at the ATM in the middle of the night. Haha.

After helping clean Kassey's house yesterday, I decided to take a nap. My "nap" ended up being 8 hours long, haha. It was much needed though. I still was able to sleep when I went to bed too...after 2 hours of tossing and turning. I had a lot of things running through my mind at the time as well. Oh well, it is 10:44am and I woke up not too long ago. That gives me plenty of time to do laundry and get around for the day BEFORE I have to pay for my apartment. I still have to call the local electric company and get the electricity put into my name. After that, I can start thinking about moving in. I'm not looking forward to the prospect of moving all my stuff up a flight of stairs. I guess it will be good exercise for my short little legs.

Speaking of legs, my manager Rita had great fun at teasing me about my ankles. I have small boned ankles and wrists. She focused on my ankles at one point and would not leave them alone-verbally. Haha. I know she was just messing with me so it didn't bother me. It did make me self-conscious for a short time though when I had to walk by her. Imagine that.

Well, I need to get off of here so I can start my laundry and get some darned sun in this dark house! Yes, your house is DARK, Kassey! Haha. Why do you think the livingroom curtains were fully open yesterday? --Robyn

Of course. I just wonder why it would matter if I pray for George in Timbuktu that I don't know or if some random person here in Texas is praying for Peter even though they don't know him. I guess I'm assuming these people are praying people anyway so it wouldn make a profound difference on their relationship with God if they did or didn't pray for people they would have not known about had they not come to need prayer
