Alright...before I lose an internet signal again, I'm going to type a quick entry.
I'm all moved into my apt. and it is most of the way organized/put away. Thank god! I steal a crappy internet signal from it. Haha. I guess I can't complain too much because I'm not paying for it. Oh well. By the way, Ryan, I guess I'd be in what you call "poverty". None of my furniture matches. Haha. I'm quite happy with that situation too so that all is all that matters.
I have today and tomorrow off of work because Rita is awesome like that.
Our store manager no longer works at our store (or even at BK). Heather gave her 2 weeks notice and has since left work. That means that Jamie is now our RGM (store manager...with a fancy title). She'll make a better one. I don't know if she is it until they get someone else in the store or what....but she has the power right now. That means she is the one I have to "suck up to" right now. Just kidding! Jamie is a cool lady. She's easy to work for and get along with.
I'm sick right now with a cold. I hit last night for certain. It has been going around BK for awhile (as well as the flu...thank goodness I didn't catch that). It was only a matter of time before I contracted it as well. I have a pretty good immune system but I do get seasonal colds a lot (and seasonal allergies/sinuses). I need to figure out to get my gas heater started for my apt because it is like a freakin' icebox in here! I'm still sitting around in my checkerboard footsie pj's...in my ghetto-fied comfy leather chair. It had no chair legs and sat on the floor so I rigged it up so boxes are propping it off of the floor. The footstool are two more boxes put together. Haha, I'm glorious like that!
I just got done with a card-making job for a coworker. She is living at a place called "Guiding Light Ministries". They deal with people overcoming addictions, essentially. They needed 10 Thank You cards. Before December 11th, I need to have 10 christmas cards done for a former BK manager as well. If anyone else needs a card made, I have reasonable rates and make them completely by hand.
Now that job is done, I began to finish unpacking my apartment more. I had books and such to unpack. The important stuff is mostly done. My Aunt Kathy is bringing a cabinet to help hold some of my dishes in. I hope she brings that this upcoming weekend (Oct. 16-18). She is coming to pick me up. She, my cousin-Danielle, and I am headed to Oklahoma to visit my Aunt Laura Kay, cousin Josh, my sister Keri (and her kids). I'm so excited. I need to finish David's birthday gift. I think I have Hailey's done...again, I think. Hailey is turning 7 on Oct. 14th and David is turning 9 on Oct. 29th. Robert is the only sibling without a birthday in October. Haha. Just so he doesn't feel left out, he is getting something I've been holding for him (and the others). They just get extra stuff since they are getting a year older.
David is stumping me because he is getting into football and such...like a typical boy. I don't know how much he is into drawing and such anymore. I need to ask Keri things like that, I guess. Haha. Hailey is such a little princess that she is easy to put together a gift for. Haha. I do need to make their cards also...eek! Too much to do in too little time.
Speaking of Keri, she has had seizures all her life. They are only occasional but they are strong enough. Well, she recently got insurance and went to the doctor for them. Thankfully, for her, she had a seizure at the doctor's office so they could monitor it. They can't say that she is imagining it at all. I guess she is having electrodes stuck to her head on Oct. 19th (EEG test) so they can figure out what is wrong in her head. Or as she put it, to see if she is "crazy" or not. You know my smart-aleck butt jumped in on that statement, haha.
I recently started a hand-written journal again a week or so ago. I don't write many things in her that are intensely personal...for good reasons. I'm a private person. I can write things like that in a hand-written journal and don't have to worry about not having internet access. Plus, I live alone now so I have no one to talk to (not even an animal since I had to get rid of Sut and Rappy). I gets kind of lonely at times. I'll take lonely over COLD anyday though, haha.
