Prolific Prodigies

11/19/2012

Hello everyone! How are you doing? I am doing great, but a bit tired. That is what work will do to you, I guess. Let's see...what has the "illustrious" Robyn been up to since I last wrote???

I forcibly asked for a transfer out of a particular client's house. All I can say that there is few people i absolutely cannot get along with. That lady was one of them. That is all i will say out of professionalism and common courtesy. Since then, I filled in at a perfectly lovely old lady's house and got a client of my own. I am still feeling out my client but all is going well. The schedule and location was the reason i didn't stay at the fill-in position, for your information. My big old behemoth of a vehicle guzzles gas like no other and i could not afford to drive all that way for a job. Otherwise, I might have tried to work there and alter their schedule a wee bit.

I drove up to see my brother and his family a few days ago. I hadn't seen them in nearly 2 years so it was an overdue trip. I didn't get to visit much with my brother due to his work schedule and when i had to leave (to return to work myself), but every little bit counted. I got to visit quite a bit with my sister in law though. That was really nice. I have never had a negative opinion of her. Kenny did well when he chose to marry Cynthia. Cynthia has a 10 yr old son named Kenny as well (and brother and uncle, haha) who called me Aunt Robyn while I was there. He is a sweet kid but I will be honest. I have never consciously called him a nephew of mine. I automatically had separated him and my nephews by blood in my mind. I think the gap was spanned by his simple statement. It made me feel surprised, yet all warm and fuzzy. So, I am now an aunt 8x's over. Haha. My siblings are very prolific despite their slight numbers.

I got to see the first ever pictures of my absentee nephew (long story and too personal to tell...sorry). He is around 5 years old, if that gives you any sense of perspective. He is such a handsome little boy. The pictures and the stories that Cynthia told me about Taylen made me want to know him even more than usual. I literally have this aching hole in my heart that is figuratively reaching out to him and his mother. I guess he has some semi-major health issues too. At one point, the doctors had to intubate him and put too large of a tube down his throat...and screwed him up. Now, he has major asthma attack issues that can be induced by most anything. He cannot ride in a car for more than an hour or attend school due to that issue (and the fact that he has social issues). I tell you, my heart aches for him.

My adorable niece, Audriannah, more than made up for the sorrow in my heart though. She is such a joyful little thing. She is the rare 2 year old (nearly 3 yrs old) that you can have a complete and intelligent conversation with. She has such a grasp on the English language (and partly spanish, due to Dora and Diego) that it is astounding. The sometimes downside to that all is that she never shuts up. Haha. Cynthia, her mom, thinks she could later become a great interrogator. Haha, she has a great and unfortunate grasp of the "why" game too. One of the more joyful memories from this trip was when Audri ran to the door, extended her arms to each side of her, and blocked the door when I had to leave. Now, that is love. Of course, I just teased her, forcibly moved her, and gave her hug goodbye. I hope she knows how much i love her. I drew her a picture of Dora and some flowers before I left too.

My oldest 2 nephews, Colton and Austin, I did not get to see due to scheduling conflicts. I was sad due to this but resigned at the same time. It isn't like i can control time or teleportation. Haha. By the time I would have gotten home and 3-4 hours had passed, they would have arrived at their dad's house. If i could have sped up time for them, slowed it down for me, and beamed them there...well, I would have. That would be an amazing skill to have sometimes.

Well, I think I am done talking about my family. Everyone have a great night/day.--Robyn
