I had a similar situation minus the jail time. My 'father' was out of my life until I was 6 and realized I had a different last name than my 'dad'. Mom then revealed that my dad wasn't my father and helped me to get in touch with him. He was in and out of my life popping up only to give (crappy) gifts around holidays. Turns out, he was more interested in getting back together with my mom (bow chicka wow wow..) than he was in being a part of my life. So finally when I was 17 I told him in or out, none of this back-and-forth business. I wrote him a letter and said I can't keep getting hurt every time he's 'out' so if he can't say in my life, then he just needs to stay out of it.
A little sadly, he has decided to stay out of it. Luckily, though, it's helped me to move on with my life. Yes I know who my father is, but more importantly, I know who my DAD is. It just turns out they're not the same person.

I have experianced a VERY similar thing. My father was gone when I was 2, moved around state to state, ended up in jail. I found him through online searches (my space actually). I realized right away we have the same nose. I still haven't 'spoken' to him becaue of other complications. Let me know if you need to vent.

[25] Bringing a child into the world?

 This is just my opinion and I'm not thinking that it will have any baring on your opinions or anything you will do with your life but I don't think i could read this without being honest.
You and your boyfriend should really wait till you've been together a little longer to be honest. Me and my boyfriend fell pregnant with our first 8 months into our relationship. Now, everythings great, we had another daughter this year and even though our relationship became really really really shit after our having 1st daughter (we was only 19 and 21 at the time and had no idea what we were doing and lived with my parents...)we stuck through it thick and thin and it's been really good the last two years *we've been together for seven years now*
ANYWAYS, I simply advise on waiting just a LITTLE bit longer because although my children mean more to me than anything in teh entire universe- I'd give my life and anyone elses for them in a second- I do wish sometimes that me and Paul had a little bit more time to ourselves before we had children, you know? Once you have babies life as a couple DOES get more complicated and it gets so much harder to find time ALONE let alone time together, you know? I think waiting till you've been together for a year would be best. and between now and then really take advantage of the freedom you guys have. Go away to another country and all that palavour 
*not that having kids is like a prison!! lol! but... well, you'll understand what I mean when you have 'em

You're right.. it's impossible to love someone without getting hurt, even when the person loves you back. It's going to hurt you when you fight, it'll hurt if you break up, it'll hurt if you get married and he does, etc.. it's never ending. But love is worth it. So, enjoy what your boyfriend and you have!

 RYC: Yeah, used to, I could talk to her, and without her saying a word, I felt better and knew what to do. Now, I can't do that with her. She's constantly judging me. As far as my daughter, it's been 4 years. I love her and I miss her. I wish she were here, however, I know she's watching over me. I'm still a mother regardless of what others think. I'm going through a lot right now, but it's mainly because my ex won't let go.
On a side note, I was re-reading your entry, and I got caught by one remark. You haven't been going out even a month yet. Too many people say that they love someone, without really meaning it. He's a guy, I would believe he loves you, or genuinely thinks he does. However, make sure it's how you feel before saying it in return. If you need to, just tell him you want to be sure of your feelings before you say it in kind.  It's what I told my fiance, and we did just fine.

 Don't give up something good because you're worried about something bad happening. If everyone did that we'd just be sitting all day long! The question you have to ask yourself is: "Do the benefits outweigh the risks?" If you're okay with possibly getting hurt to be with him... then do. But just remember that just because you're hurt doesn't mean your life should stop.

i LOVE edward in the book. and rob pattinson has grown on me from being edward in the film but i'm a total kellan fan. yeah a lot of people who like twilight dont like rosalie and emmett together but from the film i love them together. ooo yay, thankies. i'll be looking forward to that =]

thank you =] cool, although you know it rains all the time here don't you. =] i'm having 8 stars and some swirls. the tattoo place hasn't draw up a design for me yet, but they'll hopefully have something by next weekend so that i can go in and check it out before i have it done. my weekend is going to be a lazy one i think.. =]

omg, i hate banks so much. They are saying I have like 90 dollars in the bank, when I should really have over 400. its ridiculous. the only way that could happen is if someone has my debit card number and using it without me knowing. that situation is messed up. i hope you get it straightened out soon.
