Today's been a crazy day as far as dieting goes. I haven't splurged, but the whole weight thing's been up and down all day, which is frustrating. Sometimes I wish my mom would hide the scale from me so I won't be able to weigh five times a day and get even more frustrated and end up re-gaining the five pounds I've already lost. The good news about all of this is that I haven't gone all the way up to the weight I used to be, so I'm doing well in that regard. This past weekend I was so hungry all the time, it was crazy. I'm going to have to not splurge any this week, I think. Wish me luck.
What else can I write about? Oh. I've seen on the news where California and Washington State are getting pounded by these severe storms. I just have one thing to say: Send the rain down here where I live! We need some! All we've had has been sunshine for the past three weeks or so; it's high time we had a shower or two...or three...or four...etc.
Rain relaxes me; that's why I'm always happy when we have a shower here. As long as we don't have tornadoes, it's all good with me.
I need to go Christmas shopping, but I have to wait until my check from working the elections back on November 6 comes in. Therein lies another dilemma--what do you buy for the people who already have everything? I'd say gift cards, but I don't have enough money for that, which sucks. I know my mom likes arts and crafts stuff, and my dad likes anything LSU, but everything I'd like to buy for him--well, you get the picture. I'm broke. Blah. Oh well. One day I'll have a bit of money and I'll be able to get what I'd like to get for them.
I'm not really sure why I'm doing this, but I am currently reading eight books at one time. It's like an impulse thing with me. Take yesterday. I wasn't originally planning on going to my church's library, but since they were having a religious articles sale, I went to that and then ended up checking out two more books to go with the six books I'd already started. I have no self-control when it comes to books, it seems. :/ Then again, having a book addiction is a lot better than having an addiction to other things.
