eff you diet!

So it's July 1st.

When I started doing Paleo+, I told myself that I wanted to be on the diet until July 1st. (that's how long the (now ex) boy was going to do Ketosis--- so I figured I would do the same thing.)

I don't think I'll get off of Paleo (I also don't think I could ever eat sugar the way I used to again), but I will enjoy the foods that I haven't been enjoying lately.

This weekend includes the following deliciousness:
1) COOKIES!!! (honey-shortbread, to be specific) I miss baking soooo bad.
2) Mac and Cheese from Noodles.
3) Grilled cheese and tomato soup. (I may hold off on this until I'm sick... this is my comfort food.)
4) brats on pretzel-bread baguette.
5) Chips and salsa! (homemade salsa!)
6) guac and chips. (ZOMG! CHIPS!)
7) pizza. (probably dominos).
8) LOTS AND LOTS OF BEER.

I still have 5lbs to lose to reach my goal weight (pre-industry weight). but I bet you 5$ that a week from today, I'll be down another pound or 2 even after this weekend. (that's what happened to me in London)

Yesterday's workout was FANTASTIC! Normally, it would be fucking awful....

it's called "filty fifty"... and it's called a "chipper wod" because you hack away at it one exercise at a time.


so the WOD is as follows:

  • 50 box jumps (20" box)
  • 50 jumping pull-ups
  • 50 kettlebell swings (25lbs) (american style)
  • 50 walking lunges
  • 50 knee-to-elbows (hang on a bar and bring your knees to your elbows)
  • 50 push-press (weight lifting) (35lbs)
  • 50 back-extensions (an upside-down situp, basically... so instead of your head coming up to form a 90degree angle, your placed on your stomach and you bend down, then lift your body weight)
  • 50 wallballs (14lbs)
  • 50 burpees (FUCK BURPEES!)
  • 50 double-unders. (or 3:1 singles)

    we only had to do 15 reps, instead of 50 because we were the "lunch express crew".... THANK GOD! After doing 15, that killed me! I can't imagine doing 50!


    I finished in 11:35. woot!

    Dont go into a sugar coma! lol
    thats prolly whats gonna happen to me when I go to vegas in september. They have a Chocolate resturant and that will be my splurge cheat time. Im having a chocolate pizza and a chocolate martini. by then itll have been over 3 months since Ive had sweets and chocolate!

    What's a burpee??

    a burpee is the following (done in succession, as quickly as you can)

    1) start in a standing position.
    2) go down to the ground in a push up position
    3) do a pushup
    4) get back into standing position
    5) do a jump (clap your arms above your head).

    doing one isn't so bad..... it's doing more than 1 that hurt

    they are called burpees because that's how you feel after you do 2 or so. (like you're gonna yip all over).

    They are excellent for EVERYTHING. (cardio, muscle build, etc.)
