I SERIOUSLY didn't want to go to the gym tonight. AT ALL.
I'm tired.
I didn't get much sleep.
It's hot.
It's fucking muggy.
I was good this whole weekend!
WHY DID I HAVE TO GO???!?
well, I went. And everyone else was a no-show except for me, meaning I got a personal training session. (heh).
normally, I'd be all about this. but I wasn't feeling good ON TOP of the fact that I didn't want to be there.
What was the workout?
"NATE"
(as many rounds as possible) for 20 minutes of:
-2 muscle ups (or 10 pullups, 10 ring-dips)
-4 hand-stand-push-ups
-8 kettle-bell swings
the kettle-bell swings I can do. That's not a problem.
The hand-stand-push-ups? For some reason-- I couldn't do them today. I tried really hard to get all the way to the ground, but I couldn't. This infuriated me!
Then- the pull-ups. Well-- I am trying to get my kipping (this swinging motion thingy that gives you momentum making the pullup easier). I kinda suck at it. I DID go down on a band (I used to be blue/tan and now i'm red/tan). Meaning that I'm getting stronger.
BUT!
I tore my hand up today. It was actually pretty nasty. 2 of my calluses are gone and replaced by fleshy bits. oh the pain.
I ended up doing 6 rounds. which is a lot for someone who didn't want to be there AT ALL.
I could have done better, and I know it. and the instructor knew it. but my body just was NOT having it today.... AT ALL!

I emailed the baltimore crew team because someone at the gym told me that I should row crew. I should be getting information shortly. The nice thing about crew is that it's pretty much the same workout as crossfit, except it's cheaper. (150$ a season instead of per month).

Another cool thing:
A friend at work goes rock-climbing. I went back in June with that boy-- but never went back (because i was terrified of running into said boy). but friend at work said there was a climbing place by work! AND! he gets free-passes sometimes!
SCORE!
so I'll go rock-climbing again and maybe not die.
