Nike+ Kinect Fitness + mudrun + zombie classes

This weekend I did a mud run. It was disgusting....ly awesome.

I'm still pulling mud out of places that I didn't know I had. (Still have mud in my ear, sadly... It's cool. It's not like I need those for my job or anything).

I've done mud-runs before, but never THIS MUDDY. I lost both my shoes to this jabba-the-hutt mud pile. I got them back, but they were just sucked off my feet. I ran the rest of the race without my shoes on (which, if you can do it, it's the way to go.)

My lame-ass day job is "making video games"--which sounds COOL... but it isn't. Basically, I baby sit divas and drama queens. BUT! my game got announced today!

Nike+ Kinect Fitness.

It's a fitness game that you get to play with the Kinect at home.

Once there are more trailers and stuff that show more than just pre-rendered videos, I'll talk about it more

I get Crossfit Certified (funny, right? I'm working on a Nike product, but I'm all about the Crossfit... yes... the irony doesn't cease to amuse me, either) in 2 weeks. I need to start studying for the test but after I get the little certificate, I could teach!

Soooooooo.... I've been thinking "what can I do with this?"
Some of you may have noticed that there are a SHIT TON of weirdos out there that are eating faces/hearts/people. Obviously, the zombie apocalypse is coming. Are you prepared?

Zombie Preparation Boot Camp!

Get fit in real-life situations!

  • Haul a sandbag (your unconscious friend) across an obstacle course without dropping them.
  • get chased by zombies (team work-out)
  • throw stuff at zombies (throw weighted balls at targets)
  • climb and jump over/under things
  • get more nimble!
  • get stronger!
  • get faster so you can outrun the slow people. (all you really need to do)

    Additional optional classes: wilderness first aid classes, CPR classes and kit-making classes.

    I don't know how many times a week I would offer this. I was thinking just one class a week would be dedicated to it. What kinds of stuff do you want to learn/do?

    i'm currently doing body weight circuits 3x a week and if i were close enough i'd totally do this.
    i've been reading your WOD for ages but haven't been working out until ... 36 days ago.
    and since i wrote to you asking about giving up sugar, i've also been living eating less than 5g of added sugars per day (10 if i'm having greek yogurt) since May 1
